I worked on this project at Allata.
This legacy application allows its users to share highly confidential financial reports to their global clients. The Application had a lot of features and functionality that "power users" (tech-savvy users) used. However, the robust complexities of the application pushed away many not so tech-savy users. After researching the industry and learning more about the users, I redesigned the user flow, simplified and reorganized the information architecture, and refreshed the UI design. Altogether, we redesigned over 200 screens and created multiple extensive prototypes for internal and external users and security levels.
The new user flow and interface design of 200+ screens significantly reduces the creation and setup time of workspaces. The migration of the software to a new platform/ecosystem allows for greater scalability in the future. The new design ofuses common UX principles and patterns to simplify the complexities of this enterprise level financial reporting application.
